In plain words. We use your CV to build your portfolio and for nothing else. We don't sell your data, we don't run advertising, and we don't track visitors with cookies. You choose what appears on your public page, and you can delete your account and everything with it.
1. Who we are
Cveelo turns a CV into a portfolio website. This page explains what happens to the information you give us and the information the service creates.
2. What we collect
- Your account. Your name, email address and profile picture, from the sign-in method you use (for example Google or email). Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see or store a password.
- Your CV. The PDF or Word file you upload, the text read from it, and the structured version we extract: name, headline, roles, skills, projects, education, certifications, languages and the contact details written in it.
- What you add. Edits to your portfolio, the pictures you upload, your template and colour choices, and your chosen address.
- Your rating. If you rate Cveelo after publishing, we store the number of stars and that you gave it.
- Visit counts. How many people open your published page and our own pages, described in section 6. No names, no IP addresses.
3. Why we use it
- To read your CV and fill in your portfolio, and to suggest a direction and templates that suit it.
- To host and publish your portfolio at the address you choose.
- To keep the service working, secure and fair (limits on uploads, protection against abuse).
- To show you analytics about your own portfolio, and to understand how Cveelo is doing as a whole.
4. Who helps us process it
We use a small number of providers. Each handles only what its job needs:
- OpenAI receives the text of your CV to extract it into structured fields. If you ask for a translation of your portfolio into another language, the text of your portfolio is sent to OpenAI for that too, and only then. It never receives your files or your account details.
- TypeSafe AI (Jev) receives a short summary of your CV (job titles, skill names and counts) to recommend a direction. We do not send it your email, phone number, address or CV text.
- Clerk handles sign-in and holds your account details.
- Neon stores our database, and Vercel hosts the site and keeps uploaded CV files and pictures in private storage.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. What is public
Nothing about you is public until you publish. Once you do, anyone with the link can read your portfolio, and search engines may index it.
- Your public page shows only the content in your portfolio. Your uploaded CV file, the raw CV text and our analysis of it are never published.
- Your email and website show only if you left them switched on; your phone number starts hidden. You can change this in the editor at any time and republish.
- Unpublishing takes the page offline straight away.
6. Cookies and analytics
Cveelo uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies are the essential ones that keep you signed in.
To count visits we do not put a script or a cookie on any page. When someone opens a page, our server turns their connection details into an anonymous code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to them, and then discards those details. We keep that code for two days, only to avoid counting the same person twice in a day. What stays is totals: views, unique visitors per day, and which site they came from (for example LinkedIn). You see the totals for your own portfolio; we see totals for the whole service.
7. How long we keep it
- Your CV, portfolio and pictures stay until you delete them or your account. When you replace a CV or remove a picture, the old one is removed from your account.
- When you delete your account, we delete your portfolio, your CVs and the extracted data, your pictures and your rating.
- Anonymous daily visitor codes are deleted after two days; the totals are kept.
8. Your choices
You can see and edit everything we extracted before anything is published. You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it or delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Deleting your account from your account settings removes your data as described above.
9. Security
Your CV file is kept in private storage that has no public address, and only you can open it. Sign-in is protected by Clerk, our secrets stay on the server, and every request is checked against your account before it touches your data. No system is perfectly secure, so if something that affects you goes wrong, we will tell you.
10. Children
Cveelo is not meant for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will say so in the product before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
